Healthy Eating: An Apple a Day Goes a Long Way

Basically, for most of us, more fruit is better. Summer has arrived! Lots of fresh choices and variety to be enjoyed each and every day. Apples are a perfect choice as they are low calorie, high in fibre, and sooth sugar swings. They also make great additions to many meals. Try adding an apple for some sweetness to oatmeal or chop it up for a tangy crunch to a salad.  They pack up light so they are portable- throw a few in your bag and hit the road! (Remember- apples are what you want, not apple juice. Thats just basically concentrated sugar water.)
